Associate's Spotlight: Esperanza Homes

“The Lifestyle You’ve Hoped For”

Esperanza is the first truly Master Planned Community that pays homage to Boerne’s hill-country heritage through indigenous architecture, sustainable landscaping, vast open spaces, upscale amenities, and a more artful street scene. Esperanza is a product of The Lookout Group, a team of owners and developers who have been active in the development business in Texas for 25 years.

Located just 29 minutes from the entertainment, dining and employment options of downtown San Antonio, Esperanza encompasses 1240 acres which will ultimately include more than 2400 homes built on sites with frontages ranging from 50’ to 90’, along with some 3/4 acre estates. The area also includes 350 acres of parks, nature trails and open space. Proposed developer amenities will include "The Club" at Esperanza which will feature a resort style lazy river, zero entry kids pool, relaxing adult pool, fully equipped fitness center, open air pavilion, HOA offices, multipurpose meeting room, food truck court and great lawn area for community gatherings. The "Club" is planned to open in the summer of 2019.

Esperanza is a major plus for the Boerne area since it is now home to the first ever reclaimed water meter in this booming Hill Country town. The developers have meticulously planned and designed a place that takes water conservation seriously, with their slogan being “Think Purple” since the reclaimed water being used is carried through a distinctive purple pipeline. And, in March of this year The Lookout Group conveyed 20 acres in Esperanza to the Boerne ISD in anticipation of building a neighborhood elementary school to be named the Dr. Ferdinand L. Herff Elementary School. The groundbreaking celebration on March 27, 2018 was not just about the new school, but also about Boerne’s rich history and the Herff Family, descendants of the doctor who was a 19th-century German-born physician, who emigrated to Texas, and became a medical pioneer in the area. It is anticipated that the children in Esperanza will begin attending the new school in the Fall of 2019.
