300 Years of Goodwill: Give Back with SABOR and SAMMinistries
Commemorate San Antonio’s 300th Anniversary by Giving Back with SABOR and SAMMinistries on April 6.
Our members are no strangers to giving back to this community. So many volunteers with local non-profits, civic organizations and other charitable groups throughout the year, demonstrating the care REALTORS® have for building communities.
SABOR has several opportunities this year for members to come together and give back as a group. From Build Days with Habitat for Humanity and serving meals to the families at the SAMM Shelter or giving blood with the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, there is no shortage of opportunities for members to give back together with SABOR.
One event, in particular, will be unique to this year, which is a project in partnership with SAMMinistries as part of SA 300, the celebration of San Antonio’s 300th anniversary in 2018. Groups around the city are commemorating this milestone by coordinating community events, and SABOR and SAMM will come together to do the same.
The project will be Friday, April 6 at the SAMM Shelter located on Blanco Road. This special project will focus on building a “Born Learning Trail” which is a series of stations on a path that families go through together and promotes development in children and families. Volunteers will be needed to assist in erecting the stations, clearing debris and other tasks such as painting. The project will be 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with refreshments provided.
If you would like to participate, register to volunteer on IMS or contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Be on the lookout for further details on the project, but sign up soon as volunteer space is limited!
